Toddle & Taste

March 13, 2026

Join us for a morning of sensory play, outdoor fun, and discovering food in a creative way, designed for children aged 18 months to 4 years and their parent or carer. This session is all about exploring nature, using your senses, and having fun on the farm!

The session begins at 10am, where we’ll guide you to our Toddle and Taste space. Most activities will take place outdoors, so be ready to splash in puddles, dig in our sand kitchen, and explore our greenhouse, polytunnels and vegetable garden - sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are a must.

What to expect:

10 – 11am: Sensory Food Play & Mini Farm Walk
Little hands will get to see, sniff, squish, peel, wash, chop, snip, and taste seasonal fruits, herbs and vegetables from our kitchen and field gardens. Children can explore at their own pace; tasting is optiona
l. We’ll take a gentle small guided walk around the farm, spotting animals and discovering more about where our food comes from.

11:00 – 11:30am: Orchard Outdoor Play
Next, head to the orchard for imaginative outdoor play with our sand kitchen and exploration. While the children play, adults will enjoy a hot drink and a pastry.

Extra Details:

  • Maximum 10 children per session, so everyone can take part safely.
