Join local woodturners Dave Chamberlain and Lawrence Moody for a half-day (beginning at 1:30pm) woodturning experience here at Nancarrow. Your session begins with an introduction to the lathe and the specialist (and very sharp!) tools you’ll be using. You’ll then get hands-on, working with wood harvested directly from the farm to create a unique piece to take home. You’ll work at your own pace, with flexibility to explore what interests you most. Starting with crafting a bowl of your own design, there’s usually time to experiment with additional tools and techniques—perhaps trying your hand at making a goblet, vase, dibber, or even a simple spinning top. Spaces are limited to just three guests per Workshop who will all learn on their own lathe alongside Dave & Lawrence, two very experienced instructors.
Your workshop begins with a delicious Farm Lunch, showcasing a selection of dishes prepared by our kitchen team.
Woodturning Days at Nancarrow are £95 per person, your workshop with the Nancarrow team, and a hearty Farm lunch.
