Join local artist Suzy Sharpe for a half-day workshop exploring the beautiful art of botanical monoprinting. During this hands-on experience, you'll learn how to create unique botanical prints using seasonal plants, leaves, ferns and traditional printmaking techniques, leaving with a collection of your own original artworks plus a printed tote bag or tea towel.
Suzy will provide a curated selection of plant material, gathered from the Farm and chosen to reflect the season. You'll learn how to create delicate, one-of-a-kind prints throughout your workshop.
Workshop Schedule
9:30am - Arrive and enjoy a warm welcome from Suzy Sharpe, with freshly baked pastries, tea and coffee.
10am - Begin your workshop by learning the fundamentals of botanical printmaking. Suzy will introduce the process, guiding you through selecting plants, applying inking and producing beautiful prints.
Continue experimenting with layering, composition and inking techniques as you build a collection of original prints and print onto a tote bag or tea towel. Throughout the session, Suzy will offer individual guidance and creative tips to help refine your work.
1pm - Enjoy a delicious Farm Lunch, giving you time to relax, reflect on the morning and chat with fellow participants.
